Applying to be Devilman's student on Earth.


Shorette is a treasure hunter/archaeologist. In some of her solo threads, she sought out to an abandoned city called Nifara to continue her father's project: "The Fall of Nifara". It details what the city was like before it was abandoned, its culture, food, values, etc, and how it eventually fell. She encounters an ex-militant named Yoguri who reveals that the fall of Nifara was due to a group called the Society of Welvth that was paid to protect it, but eventually took it over and converted the city into their own base and forced people to either be soldiers or permanently get rid of them if they don't comply.

The organization was known for not only defending anyone or anything, but also for a hefty price. Similar to Shorette's profession of a treasure hunter, they also collect artifacts solely for the purpose of making moeny.

Yoguri couldn't save Nifara, but she wanted to recover an item called "Ittar's Vision" that represented justice and order in kin to their city's goddess, Ittar. This hasn't played out in a solo thread yet, but eventually Shorette helps Yoguri in recovering the artifact and preserving it, letting the legacy of Nifara live on through said artifact.

It could be possible that Devilman caught wind of Shorette's selfless act of retrieving the artifact from a violent organization and recognized the potential she has yet to unlock as a human. This gives him the opportunity to take her in as a student and help her better understand her power and spread his knowledge. He would take pride in making pouring his influence to Shorette as a way to inspire others to take under his wing.

Also, as the Devilman is technically a demon, this can also raise opportunities in teaching Shorette magic (in other words, having Shorette be able to obtain techniques such as Magic Materialization. For example, even if it isn't mechanically the case, Shorette would technically need Magic Materialization to summon a fork for three OT attacks under him.). However, such techniques will be registered regularly as this is only a leeway for Shorette to learn magic due to being a demon.
